1. Who We Are

PauseWell is a product of SamInterest LLC d/b/a Chronos AI ("we," "us," or "our"), based in Edmond, Oklahoma, United States. We can be reached at privacy@chronosai.com.

2. Information We Collect

Information you provide directly

• Account information: Your name, email address, and password when you create an account
• Health profile: Your menopause stage and stage transitions over time
• Symptom logs: Symptoms you log including type, severity, timing, context, and any notes you add
• Voice entries: Audio recordings you make for voice logging (processed immediately and not stored as audio — only the resulting text transcript is saved)
• Journal entries: Your private journal content including mood, energy, reflections, and gratitude entries
• Cycle data: Menstrual cycle information you choose to log
• Notification preferences: Your communication preferences

Information from Apple Health (with your explicit permission)

• Sleep analysis data
• Heart rate measurements
• Heart rate variability (HRV)
• Step count

Apple Health data is read-only. We never write data back to Apple Health. You can revoke this permission at any time in Settings → Privacy & Security → Health → PauseWell.

Information collected automatically

• App usage analytics (screens viewed, features used) — used only to improve the app
• Device type and operating system version for technical support
• Crash reports to help us fix bugs

3. How We Use Your Information

• To provide and personalize your PauseWell wellness experience
• To generate your personalized daily wellness protocols
• To identify symptom patterns and surface insights from your data
• To generate doctor reports at your request
• To send you daily check-in reminders (only if you enable them)
• To improve PauseWell's features and accuracy
• To provide customer support
• To comply with legal obligations

4. How We Share Your Information

We share your information only in these limited circumstances:

• Service providers: We use Supabase (database), Deepgram (voice transcription), and Anthropic (AI protocol generation). These providers are contractually bound to protect your data and may not use it for their own purposes.
• At your direction: When you choose to generate and share a doctor report, you control who receives that information.
• Legal requirements: If required by law, court order, or governmental authority.
• Business transfers: In the event of a merger or acquisition, your data protections transfer with the business.

We never sell your personal health information. Ever.

5. Data Storage and Security

Your data is stored on encrypted servers provided by Supabase (hosted on AWS). We use industry-standard encryption in transit (TLS) and at rest. Access to your data is restricted to authorized personnel only.

Voice recordings are processed in real-time by Deepgram's API and are not stored by PauseWell. Only the resulting text transcript is saved to your account.

6. Your Rights and Choices

• Access: You can view all your data within the app at any time
• Export: Generate a doctor report to export your symptom data in PDF format
• Correction: Edit or delete individual symptom logs and journal entries
• Deletion: Delete your entire account and all associated data from Settings → You → Profile → Delete my account & data
• Notifications: Opt out of push notifications at any time in Settings → You → Profile → Notifications
• Apple Health: Revoke Apple Health permissions at any time in iOS Settings

7. Data Retention

We retain your data for as long as your account is active. When you delete your account, all your personal data is permanently deleted within 30 days. Anonymized, aggregated data (with no personal identifiers) may be retained for research purposes.

8. Children's Privacy

PauseWell is designed for adults experiencing perimenopause and menopause. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under the age of 18. If we become aware that a child under 18 has provided personal information, we will delete it immediately.

9. California Privacy Rights (CCPA)

California residents have the right to know what personal information we collect, request deletion of your personal information, opt out of the sale of personal information (we do not sell personal information), and not be discriminated against for exercising these rights. 10. International Users

PauseWell is operated from the United States. If you access PauseWell from outside the US, your information may be transferred to and processed in the United States. By using PauseWell, you consent to this transfer.

11. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of significant changes via email or in-app notification. Continued use of PauseWell after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.

12. Health Information Disclaimer

PauseWell is a wellness tracking tool and does not provide medical diagnoses, treatment recommendations, or medical advice. The information in PauseWell is for informational and wellness purposes only. Always consult a qualified healthcare provider for medical advice.

13. European Union — GDPR

If you are located in the European Economic Area (EEA), United Kingdom, or Switzerland, the following additional rights apply to you under the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and equivalent laws:

Legal basis for processing

• Contract performance: Processing necessary to provide PauseWell services to you
• Legitimate interests: Improving our services, ensuring security, and preventing fraud
• Consent: Processing your health data and Apple Health data, which you may withdraw at any time
• Legal obligation: Compliance with applicable laws

Your GDPR rights

• Right of access: Request a copy of all personal data we hold about you
• Right to rectification: Correct inaccurate or incomplete data
• Right to erasure ("right to be forgotten"): Request deletion of your personal data
• Right to restrict processing: Request that we limit how we use your data
• Right to data portability: Receive your data in a structured, machine-readable format
• Right to object: Object to processing based on legitimate interests
• Right to withdraw consent: Withdraw consent at any time without affecting prior processing

To exercise any of these rights, contact us at privacy@chronosai.com. We will respond within 30 days. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority.

Data transfers: Your data is stored in the United States. When transferring data from the EEA, we rely on Standard Contractual Clauses (SCCs) approved by the European Commission to ensure adequate protection.

14. Canada — PIPEDA

If you are located in Canada, your personal information is governed by the Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA) and applicable provincial privacy laws.

• Health information is treated as sensitive information under Australian law and receives heightened protection

16. Indigenous Data Sovereignty

PauseWell is committed to the principles of Indigenous Data Sovereignty. For users who are members of Indigenous communities, including Cherokee, Muscogee, and other Nations:

• Your personal health data belongs to you and your community — not to PauseWell
• We support your right to govern how data about you is collected, used, and shared
• We do not share, aggregate, or use Indigenous users' health data for research without explicit tribal or community consent
• We respect the CARE Principles for Indigenous Data Governance: Collective Benefit, Authority to Control, Responsibility, and Ethics
